Robert Gaines
President
Robert, the president of STLF Transportation, is the brains behind this whole operation. At just age 19, he came to trucking because of his enjoyment of driving big semi-trucks, and knowing he helps make the world move. For him, it's always been a challenge, and there's always something new to learn. Newly married and a little one on the way, he's a pretty busy man! However, he isn't all work and no play. Robert enjoys motocross, and taking the old boat out in the water, throwing a line out, and catching a few fish on the weekends. His fun "go-getter" attitude makes him a great guy to work for!
Mitch Schumann
Account Executive
Mitch, the most recent member of STLF, joined the team because he's a wizard with social media, and he has a great ability to connect and work with people. He's done a little bit of everything in his short career, but he believes that he's content with his position on our team. When he's not making calls or meeting with clients, you can find him out in the woods, hunting for some critters, or trying to reel in a bass or two out of a pond. Also a newly-wed, he also enjoys spending time with his beautiful wife. Mitch always has a great attitude, which makes him a great team player, and a great addition to the team!
Lora Gaines
Co-President
Lora, wife and babysitter of Robert, helps keep his head on straight and the business smoothly rolling. When asked why she came to trucking, she simply replied, "my husband," so she married into it. She enjoys it, though, and she can actually drive a stick shift herself and knows a bit of truck maintenance. However, the soon-to-be mom is also pretty good at keeping all the papers in line! When she's not crunching numbers and doing paperwork, you can find her spending time with her many friends and family! With her positive attitude, she keeps us all here at STLF in a good mood!
Troy Starks
Truck Driver
Troy, previous construction supervisor for over 20 years, is our driver for the hopper bottom loads. He joined the team because he thought it was time for a change. As the "Pops" of the crew, he's not a young man anymore, and he's always wanted to see more of God's beautiful countryside while meeting new folks. He takes pride in his job by keeping the "Ole 96" clean. With a third grandchild on the way, and his wife tagging along on his trips, he's very content with where he's at. He comes with a strong work ethic, a few gray hairs, and foot that's not nearly as leaded as it once was, so we love having him around!
Dara Gaines
Secretary
Dara, mother of seven (including Robert), is also the "mother" of our team. She keeps us all in line, and without her behind the books, our paperwork would be an absolute mess and the company would be a disaster. Mama Gaines, former farm girl, has been around the trucking business for years - she can even drive a semi herself! She enjoys spending time with her family, which is growing larger by the day with another grandchild on the way! Now, she's winding down, helping her boy grow his business. With her sweet, gentle attitude, we'll sure miss her when she steps down!
Chris Garrett

Chris, who's been with STLF for over six months, is the guy who usually transports our vehicle loads. A previous welder for Orscheln Products, Chris was tired of the flashes and sparks - he was just ready for something different. He wanted to travel and see the country, so he came to trucking. Like most of us at STLF, when he's not driving, you'll be sure to find him four-wheeling in a mud hole or catching some bass! Chris is a great driver who is always on time, and without him, our car hauler trailers wouldn't be used!
